Material
Recycled polymer sheet

Solid sheet made from recycled polymer — no core, no laminate, no facing. Colour and pattern run through the full thickness, so a cut edge, a routed profile or a drilled hole shows the same material as the face. Nothing needs edgebanding or sealing.

It does not absorb water, swell or rot, and it needs no oil, lacquer or wax. Where timber and wood-based boards fail in wet areas — at the edge, at the joint, under standing water — this material has nothing to fail.

It moves with temperature

Polymer does not move with moisture, but it moves with heat: considerably more than timber, wood-based board or metal. A long panel cut to exact size in a cold workshop will grow once it reaches a warm room. Allow for it — the working notes below say how.

Every sheet is different

The pattern comes from the recycling process, not a print. Colour distribution, particle size and density vary within a sheet and between sheets. Sheets from one production batch are the closest match the material allows; sheets from different batches will visibly differ.

If a project needs several sheets to read as one surface, order them together and tell us — a later top-up order cannot be matched to an earlier one.

Suitability

Indoor use as standard. Outdoor suitability depends on the polymer and on whether the sheet is UV-stabilised — confirm per product before specifying for an exposed position. Suitability for direct food contact is not assumed; if the panel will be a food preparation surface, ask for the manufacturer's declaration.
Working & care
Before cutting

Let sheets reach the temperature of the room they will be installed in — ideally 24 hours, laid flat. Cut to final size at that temperature, not in a cold workshop.

Cutting and machining

Standard woodworking saws, routers and drills, with sharp carbide tooling. Keep the tool moving: heat, not force, is what goes wrong. A dull tool, or one that dwells in one place, melts the material instead of cutting it and leaves a gummed edge. Edges finish cleanly with a scraper or fine abrasive paper.

Fixing

Mechanical fixing is the reliable default. On long panels, drill oversized or slotted holes and leave an expansion gap at ends and edges, so the sheet can move without bowing. Do not fix a panel rigidly at every point.

Bonding depends on the polymer. Some — polyethylene and polypropylene among them — cannot be reliably glued with standard adhesives. Check the polymer in the specification before specifying adhesive, and ask us if in doubt.

Heat in use

Hot pans, appliances and open flame do not go directly on the surface. Heat damage is a permanent deformation, not a mark, and it cannot be sanded out. The service temperature is listed in the specification.

Cleaning

Warm water and a mild detergent, then dry. No abrasive pads, scouring powder or strong solvents — acetone, thinners and aggressive degreasers can soften or cloud the surface.

Sunlight

Prolonged direct sunlight fades some colours over years. Sheets installed side by side should see the same light, or the exposed one will drift from its neighbour.

Pricing: Quoted per enquiry. Price depends on thickness, quantity, and whether the colour is held in stock.
Stock: Stock sheets ship from Zagreb. Colours and thicknesses not in stock are ordered from the manufacturer once your order is confirmed. Samples: Available on request, so you can see and handle the material before specifying it. Credited against the order.
Batch matching: Sheets ordered together come from one batch. A later top-up order may not match.
Custom sizes and colours: available on project quantities.
Delivery & storage
Collection in Zagreb

By prior arrangement. We confirm by email when the order is ready. No charge.

Delivery

Sheets travel flat on pallets by freight carrier, within Croatia and across the EU. Cost depends on sheet size, quantity and destination, and is quoted per order. Tell us if there is no forklift at the delivery address — the delivery then needs a tail-lift vehicle, which changes the price.

On arrival

Check the pallet and wrapping before signing. Note any visible damage on the carrier's delivery document at the point of signature, photograph it, and contact us within 48 hours.

Storage

Store sheets flat on a level, fully supported surface, away from heat sources and direct sun. Sheets stored on edge, leaning or unevenly supported can bow, and a bowed sheet cannot be reliably flattened again.
